Wet Basement? 

Water, under pressure, seeps through cracks in the wall and floor. This is called hydrostatic pressure and could be one of the main reasons why your basement leaks. These cracks are caused by the expansion and contraction of the concrete floor, cement blocks or concrete foundation. The water can also move over the footing, entering the basement where the floor and wall meet. Your home is a very important investment to you and you should keep up its value by maintaining it properly. A wet basement, crawlspace or foundation problem ruins your appliances, stored belongings, and can cause unhealthly mold and mildew, if left untreated.
